In Loving Memory of Gunner.

Gunner was the BEST dog ever. He loved us so much and we loved him. He would follow me all the time, if I was sitting at the table then he would be by my feet. If I got up, then he got up too. He loved his cookies. He was such a smart and silly dog, so playful and ran like a locomotive. He loved to play out in the front yard with the kids, he loved playing keep away with the soccer ball or any ball. He loved to travel in the car with us, he would rush to the suburban and jump in without waiting! I use to take him with me to pick up the kids from school when he was a pup. He's always gone camping with us. He's been to Jackson Hole-Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, Utah, up and down the coast of CA - San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Morro Bay, Pismo Beach, Santa Barbara, Carpinteria, Oceanside, San Diego and even to Auntie & Uncle's in Arizona.

I miss him so much and so does the whole family. I can't believe he's gone. It's been so hard.

We were on our way to the soccer tournament in Chula Vista (San Diego area), about 10 minutes into the drive we pulled over and put Gunner up in the front seat with me. He was breathing hard and I wanted to make sure he was getting enough air conditioning. He was having a difficult time getting comfortable, he just wasn't settling down like normal. In Temecula we pulled off the freeway and found a shade tree so he could get comfortable and settle down. Austin bought him a bag of ice and we spread it all around him on the grass. It seemed as if he was getting comfortable and taking comfort in the cool grass under the shade. I asked Victor to take the kids across the street to eat and I would wait there with Gunner. About 20 minutes later Gunner wasn't acting right, he wasn't responding to my touch or my voice. I called Victor to come back, he ran back. It was so very frustrating to not know where to go to get Gunner help. A policeman saw my distress and stopped to help, he gave us directions. Victor took off with Gunner to the nearest veterinarian, and I walked to the kids. It was too late, Gunner was gone. ......and I'm so so sad. ~Gina
